Trauma Care

UMMC meets and exceeds all ACS requirements for Level I trauma designation. Our trauma services include 24/7 in-house coverage and rapid response across all key surgical and critical care specialties.

Clinical services include:

• Emergency Medicine
• General Surgery
• Orthopaedic Surgery
• Neurological Surgery
• Plastic Surgery
• Otolaryngology / Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ENT/OMFS)
• Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Anesthesiology
• Interventional Radiology

Intensive care services include:

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
• Neurocritical Care
• Burn Unit

Advanced support services:

• Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) for adults and children
• Comprehensive burn care
• Critical care transport via AirCare
• Fellowship and residency training programs
